The project’s main goal is to teach children how to stay healthy and the preventive measures that they can employ to protect themselves and their community against disease-causing microorganisms. This project seeks to address one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, that is SDG #3.
The project’s launching was concurrent with π˜Ώπ™šπ™₯𝙀𝙙’𝙨 π™Žπ™ͺπ™’π™’π™šπ™§ π™π™šπ™–π™™π™žπ™£π™œ π˜Ύπ™–π™’π™₯. The school was specifically chosen because opportunity and authorization were given. Additionally, the community of Tibpuan is a coastal area with poor living conditions that is arguably vulnerable to infiltration or contamination of disease-causing microorganisms consequently risking the vulnerable health and well-being of the inhabitants in the area.
During the launching of the FightBac Campaign, the children were engaged in interactive learning and simulations. Badges were also awarded to children after every lecture to motivate them to pay attention during each lecture with the anticipation of earning a badge at the end. On its first day, the project was successfully carried out with the children’s participation and attention to the lecture.
A total of 14 children, 4 girls and 10 boys, have participated. The project expects to reach more children in the next 3-4 years.
