Humanitarian Project

This humanitarian project is a recurrent activity. The members of AHADI 7 Yireh plan and carry out this initiative to aid ill and/or poor people in Burundi’s hospitals. The catalyst for this effort was the discovery that some hospitalised patients remain there long after their doctors have declared them well enough to go home because they lack the resources to pay the bills incurred during their lengthy stay. Because many victims originate from low-income households, not being able to afford even the most basic necessities may aggravate already-existing conditions.

As part of its regular humanitarian actions, AHADI 7 Yireh gathered and donated over 600 kg of critical commodities to Prince Regent Charles Hospital. There were around a hundred most vulnerable people helped by this, and one patient received extra funding to pay for the specialised medical care she had been unable to afford for a few weeks. Each person got a bag containing four kilogrammes of various foods: two kilogrammes of porridge flour, two kilogrammes of rice, two kilogrammes of sugar, two kilogrammes of beans, and two soaps.

Since its inception in May 2020, AHADI 7 Yireh has been working with compassion and dedication to humanity to aid the most vulnerable among us and spread love across the human community.
