To Save A Boy

we are thrilled to share with you the successful commemoration of the International Day of the Boy Child on the 16th of May, 2023. After weeks of meticulous planning, brainstorming, budgeting, and concerted efforts, we had the distinct honour of organizing this momentous event as a nonprofit agency.

Thanks to your generous support and valuable partnerships, a select group of teenage boys were granted the invaluable opportunity to participate, and we firmly believe that their lives will be forever transformed. We extend our deepest gratitude to the divine providence for blessing us with an esteemed guest list comprising dedicated mothers, father figures, and young individuals making significant strides in their respective fields.

During the event, Mrs Ruth Dul delivered a remarkable presentation on emotional intelligence, while Dr Yakubu captivated us with an enlightening session on mentorship. Mrs Angela Ogbonna passionately discussed the importance of fostering a reading culture, and Mr Malachi David intriguingly shed light on the boundless possibilities that skill acquisition can offer.

Within our own team, Chalya Dul conducted a session on money management, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a positive attitude towards financial matters. Grace Apollos shared her personal life experiences and provided invaluable insights on the significance of time management. Ugochukwu Ogbonna, through an engaging and humorous session, emphasized the importance of good grooming and personal hygiene. Additionally, we incorporated practical life lessons through interactive team-building activities.

Each participant received a personalized hygiene kit, carefully tailored to meet their individual needs, including essentials such as underwear, two pairs of socks, and a customized notepad. We owe our sincere gratitude to your unwavering support, as this would not have been possible without your contributions.

One of the most impactful sessions of the day involved all team members and guests coming together to embrace the boys, affirming them with heartfelt words: “You are loved, smart, seen, and heard. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” This emotional experience underscored the significance of affirmation and compliments, which are often lacking in the lives of many boys who have been neglected.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Praises Ashigidi, our phenomenal and gracious host for the day. Once again, we express our profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve God and humanity, and we are certain that this event is merely the first of many significant outings yet to come.
