Climate change has emerged as a challenge faced by every country in the world. Public awareness on climate change is an important measure for persuading people to jointly participate in activities for the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change.
Karachi is the largest industrial city of Pakistan and was named among the least safe cities of the world in a 2017 report of 60 cities published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). Karachi is the sixth city in the world in the category of deaths from natural disaster.
Karachi-catalysts plan to organize seminars/lectures for students in Karachi to enhance the public awareness of climate change and promote sustainable development. Awareness-raising enables informed decision-making and empower people to adopt sustainable lifestyles.
