Safeguard the Children

Togo was where I was staying when Covid19 kicked up. At first, no one took it seriously, thus nobody took any precautions. Given the scope of the outbreak, my first question was why the local kids weren’t taking more precautions. Many of them did not have the resources to purchase face masks, and some of them even admitted to me that they were really just wearing anything they happened to pick up off the ground and used in order to fit in with the group.

It was heartbreaking and upsetting to watch youngsters cope with such situations, especially given how dangerous the epidemic was. It seemed critical that children be safeguarded, which begins with giving them basic preventative items, one of which is the face mask.

So I decided to give them nose masks. Because my mother is a seamstress, I got some materials for her to create me masks. I thought that having anything was preferable than having nothing at all. During this time, I recruited several friends and we split the nose masks as needed. So I can claim that in my own little manner, I contributed to tackle a covid19 issue in my community.
