Amidst the extremely tough & uncertain circumstances of the Corona Outbreak that started in March 2020. I took this initiative to introduce the youth to a virtual platform for debating and practising diplomacy. I started interviewing my colleagues for the management team of the initiative and was successful in selecting a team of 15 members for this social cause of promoting COMUN, learning and grooming as well. I believed that our teamwork could become our driving force for a successful conference.

We believed that we couldn’t let the spirit of speaking from the youth be vanished due to COVID-19 when everyone was quarantined in their homes and couldn’t practice their talent openly. So there we began, with the biggest online platform for virtual COMUN.
Considering the circumstances due to Corona Virus Outbreak, my team and I decided to make this event FREE of cost & expense, hence making this biggest online COMUN platform in Pakistan accessible to all. By building bridges and breaking barriers, COMUN’s first edition provided a space for students, not only from all over the country but globally as well to interact with learners from different backgrounds and local languages “BECAUSE YOU CAN”, our tagline, encouraged debaters, especially beginners, to participate in the top-notch the conference.
We aimed to teach our delegates humanity, unity, faith and discipline and we hoped that they would implement these learning and teachings of the United Nations in their future lives, and would become noble, global citizens.
