Ahanang is an NGO founded to mentor vulnerable and orphaned high school students at their critical level in their academic journey. Not only are they cushioned towards reaching their ultimate life goals but also guided to be holistic members of the community. The Honors program was commenced to honour the legacy and excellence of the Co-Founder of the organization.
This awe-inspiring project is an honorary scholarship offering opportunity, to high school students in Lesotho who have demonstrated excellence in academics and community service. The first cohort of scholars has top achievers amongst them and the top student in the country for high school leaving examinations is one of them.
This project is currently funded by one of its pioneers, however, ambitions to expand are hindered by a lack of funding which is crucial.
