A group of researchers and I undertook a study and organized a research dissemination outreach in Rurum ward of Rano local government area, Kano state, Nigeria, on September 16th, 2023.
During the outreach, we donated and planted endangered tree seedlings, emphasizing the importance of annual tree-planting initiatives to replenish the approximately 22% of trees lost over the past 30 years, particularly indigenous species.
Our efforts to donate and plant trees were guided by the findings of our study and aimed to promote a sustainable ecosystem for the community.
