In a world facing an environmental crisis, every action can make a difference, no matter how small. As students, we took it upon ourselves to make a tangible impact on our campus community.
United under the banner of Junior Chamber International Nigeria, over 200 of us organized into teams to tackle the pressing waste management issue. Armed with brooms, rakes, and bags, we set out to clean up public facilities, dorm compounds, and surrounding areas.
Our focus extended beyond the immediate cleanup. We aimed to revitalize the green spaces within our campus, which had fallen victim to pollution from plastics, paper, and other discarded materials. We sought to promote a more sustainable and environmentally conscious campus culture by clearing these areas.
Through both public enlightenment and action, we hope to inspire others to join us in creating a more sustainable future.
