ShiatsuOne Remote Disease Detector

“In the post-Covid era, the pressing need for policymakers to reassess their existing strategies in handling various unforeseen hazards, be they natural or man-made, has become evident.

The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in millions of deaths and continues to infect people daily, albeit at a lower rate. Recognizing the immense struggles and sorrow experienced globally during the 2019-20 pandemic, we have launched a project aimed at remotely detecting and identifying the disease using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Our objective is to empower individuals with an affordable, wireless, and portable remote device that can help them identify the presence of the virus in their bodies. By doing so, we believe we can significantly minimize the global impact and loss caused by the virus. This project, named ‘ShiatsuOne: AI-based Remote Disease Detector,’ is specifically designed to detect Covid-19 and is also capable of identifying Pneumonia and Bronchitis, as the nature of these three diseases is similar.

Since its launch, our project has garnered significant recognition from esteemed organizations such as UNICEF, AIT Bangkok, UNDP, and IEEE. We are currently implementing the project in Bangkok, led by our team. Our team comprises members with technical and business backgrounds, and we have received approximately 30,000 Bangladeshi Tk as research and development (R&D) funds from AIT to ensure the successful completion of the project, including quality assurance. Our ultimate vision is to reach a large portion of the global population through widespread implementation and distribution, starting from local communities and gradually expanding worldwide.

Our motivation to embark on this endeavour stems from two key factors. Firstly, we possess the necessary skillset and capabilities to execute such a project. Secondly, there exists a significant research and market gap in this field, which greatly inspired us to seize this opportunity and make a positive impact.

The impact of our project has reverberated across the world like never before!”
