The Inecobank Yerevan Spring Run was more than just a race; it was a vibrant demonstration of community solidarity and a powerful platform for social impact. As a dedicated member of the Arm Marathon Foundation, I was honoured to contribute to this inspiring event by volunteering for three days leading up to the race.
Two days prior to the marathon, I joined the dedicated team at the Arm Marathon Foundation in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, to assist with the meticulous planning and organization of the event. The main day of the race was a whirlwind of activity, filled with energy and purpose, all in support of the “Armenian Mothers” Charity NGO.
“Armenian Mothers” is a remarkable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families. Through their unwavering support, they provide access to vital rehabilitation therapies and specialized equipment, empowering children to reach their full potential. Furthermore, the NGO recognizes the crucial role of mothers in a child’s development. They actively empower mothers in vulnerable situations by offering them opportunities to gain professional skills and secure stable incomes. This focus on women’s empowerment and economic independence is crucial for breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring a brighter future for families.
Being a part of this event was incredibly rewarding. It was a privilege to witness the outpouring of community support and the collective effort to make a real difference in the lives of others. The Inecobank Yerevan Spring Run serves as a powerful reminder that through collective action, we can create a more just and equitable society for all.
