Reborn Décor is a beacon of innovation, transforming what many see as waste into beautiful and functional home decor. Funded by YSEALI (Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative) and the Kenan Foundation, this project empowers individuals to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle through the power of creativity.
Reborn Décor tackles the growing issue of waste management in Southeast Asia. By using recycled materials, the project diverts tons of plastic from landfills, promotes environmental responsibility, and fosters a culture of upcycling. Through engaging workshops and captivating exhibitions, Reborn Décor ignites a passion for sustainability within communities. Participants learn practical skills to transform everyday discards into stunning home decor, fostering a sense of empowerment and environmental consciousness.
In its first phase (August-December 2023), Reborn Décor achieved remarkable results. The project successfully recycled approximately 1.95 tons of plastic waste, creating over 1,000 beautiful and functional products. This impressive feat is estimated to have reduced carbon emissions by nearly 4,000 tons, demonstrating the project’s significant environmental impact.
As Reborn Décor embarks on Phase 2, they seek the continued support of individuals, organizations, and businesses. Together, we can build a future where waste becomes a distant memory and sustainability becomes the norm. By collaborating, we can turn the vision of “One world without waste” into a reality.
