Education is the most important weapon we have in the fight against the epidemic. This is a wonderful endeavour that has been organised by the Nashama-Medical Team and is being supported monetarily by its own finances as well as contributions from friends (both self-sponsored and partners) who want to provide their assistance.
Pupils in elementary school at Yarmouk Public School in Amman, Jordan, attended a medical awareness day as part of the campaign. The school has a total enrollment of 633 students. During the course of the campaign, many different areas of maintaining proper personal hygiene for children of this age were covered. We provided children with tubes of toothpaste and instructed them on the correct way to brush their teeth while also emphasising the significance of maintaining good oral and dental hygiene at our oral and dental hygiene education station. This activity was carried out by team members hailing from a variety of medical schools.
It was discussed how to educate youngsters about the Coronavirus, how to take preventative and safety steps, and how to manage the difficulties to one’s mental and emotional welfare that may arise during the pandemic. These kinds of activities are carried out all around Jordan throughout the year, and by 2022, we want to have expanded to ten to fifteen different kinds of campaigns.
