In many rural communities, access to quality healthcare, particularly eye care, remains a significant challenge. Recognizing this critical need, IROH was born – a project dedicated to improving access to eye care and restoring vision for individuals living in underserved areas.
IROH specifically targets two prevalent causes of vision impairment: glaucoma and presbyopia. Through a combination of community screenings and awareness campaigns, we aim to identify individuals suffering from these conditions. Our mission extends beyond diagnosis; we strive to provide essential support, including the necessary medications and reading glasses where applicable. Furthermore, we facilitate referrals to general clinics for comprehensive follow-up care, ensuring continuous support for those in need.
IROH is more than just a healthcare initiative; it’s a beacon of hope for individuals struggling with vision loss. By providing access to quality eye care and empowering communities with knowledge about eye health, we are not only improving the quality of life for individuals but also contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
