I am proud to share that over 25 of my fellow university students participated in the prestigious UPG Sustainability Leadership Program 2024. This inspiring program, along with the impactful Hurricane Island Program attended by one of our own UPG-certified leaders, ignited a passion for sustainability within our community.
Inspired by these transformative experiences, I organized a mini-training session within my department to share my learnings and encourage my peers to embrace sustainability. I presented my own project, explored the four pillars of UPG, and engaged in a lively discussion on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The session aimed to inspire others to become agents of change and contribute to a more sustainable future.
This experience has reinforced my belief in the power of education and mentorship to drive positive change. By sharing knowledge and inspiring others, we can build a network of sustainability champions who are passionate about creating a better world for generations to come.v
