Inspired by his personal experiences of attending school in torn clothes, the founder of Masandy Charity Foundation launched the “Clothe the School Child” project. Witnessing the same struggles faced by students in Atiavi, a suburb of Keta Municipality, he knew he had to act.
The project was a resounding success, providing 100 school uniforms to needy students across four schools: Atiavi Atime M.A. Basic, Atiavi Wenyagor R.C. Basic, Atiavi Gbetuinu M/A Basic, and Atiavi Agbodekor R.C. Basic.
The initiative was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and volunteers. Master Hope Quarshie, a local tailor, and Madam Victoria selflessly donated their time and skills to sew the uniforms, while others provided the necessary materials.
The joy and gratitude expressed by the school heads, community leaders, and the students themselves were a testament to the project’s impact. By addressing the basic need for clothing, we’re empowering students to focus on their education and reach their full potential.
