UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited (GenU) Nigeria is a beacon of hope, offering a lifeline of opportunities for young people across the country. As a YPAT representative for Nasarawa State, I am deeply honoured to be a part of this transformative movement.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been participating in “Camp Storm,” where we visit NYSC orientation camps to introduce young Nigerians to the exciting possibilities offered by GenU. Platforms like YOMA and U-Report are game-changers as they not only provide access to academic support, leadership training, and valuable job opportunities but also empower young people to become active citizens. These platforms amplify the voices of Nigerian youth, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed by policymakers and decision-makers.
Being a YPAT representative is more than just a role; it’s a commitment to shaping the future of Nigeria’s youth. Witnessing their enthusiasm and potential firsthand fuels my passion for this work. Together, we are building a generation equipped with the skills, resources, and confidence to thrive in the 21st century.
