For over a decade, I have had the privilege of serving as a dedicated member of the Pakistan Girl Guide Association. This incredible organization provides a platform for young girls to develop essential life skills, foster a spirit of global citizenship, and become active agents of social change. Through a diverse range of activities and programs, we strive to address critical social issues and contribute to a more just and equitable world.
One particularly impactful experience involved a session conducted at the Mehnaz Fatima Foundation, a remarkable school that provides education for both typically developing children and children with disabilities. This session focused on the central theme of inclusion and explored how organizations can create a more welcoming and supportive environment for children with disabilities.
This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of young people to create positive change. The Girl Guide Association provides a valuable platform for girls to develop essential life skills, cultivate a sense of global citizenship, and become active agents of social change. By working together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable society where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
