In a world increasingly dominated by global languages, the preservation and revitalization of indigenous languages are crucial for maintaining cultural identity and linguistic diversity. Recognizing this critical need, we partnered with CABTAL (Cameroon Association of Bible Translation and Literacy) to empower 22 community leaders from the Mmock community with the knowledge and skills to safeguard their linguistic heritage.
The training program focused on the phonetics of African languages, equipping these community leaders with a deep understanding of the sounds and structures of their native tongues.
These 22 community leaders will now serve as valuable resources within their respective communities, sharing their knowledge and expertise with others. By fostering a network of language champions, we can create a ripple effect of impact, ensuring the long-term preservation and revitalization of African languages for generations to come.
