Located in Yaounde – Cameroon, Careness is a wellness brand that aims to make the world a better place by giving access to quality education to those who need it the most; orphans. Since 2019, we have locally produced handmade massage creams and massage bars which we sell and use whatever proceeds we receive to organize free chemistry workshops in orphanages.
On Saturday, August 29th, Careness and Harambee Africa, a local association, organized an edutainment day at the orphanage “Sainte Rita” of Mendong. During this workshop, 34 children (some living in the centre and others not) had been introduced to Chemistry and paper bag making. They were also exposed to reading through the reading of an afro-centred book.
To make this day even better, we, Careness, realized an experiment which always pleased children: During the visit, the Careness team discovered that the kids at the orphanage loved the lava lamp experiment. You can find all the details of the experiment here.
