Bridging the Digital Divide: The Numfor Solange Foundation Empowers Students in Cameroon

The Numfor Solange Foundation, NSF, dedicated to sustainability and waste management, is also passionate about bridging the digital divide in Cameroon. Through a remarkable partnership with Change Agent Inc., a Japanese consulting firm focused on sustainability, learning development, and systems thinking, they are making a significant difference.

Here’s a timeline of the NSF’s impactful computer donations:

  • April 19, 2023: Ten computers were donated to equip the computer lab at Favour Technical and Comprehensive College in Limbe.
  • November 1, 2023: The initiative expanded with the donation of five computers each to Government Technical High School (GTHS) Bakingili on the West Coast and Faith International Comprehensive College (FICCOL) in Isokolo, Limbe II Subdivision.

This brings the total number of donated computers to 20, significantly enhancing the learning environment for students across Fako Division. These computer donations provide students with vital tools for:

  • Enhanced Learning: Access to educational resources and online learning platforms.
  • Improved Skills Development: Opportunities to develop digital literacy and 21st-century skills.
  • Increased Confidence: The ability to participate fully in the digital world.

The success of this initiative is a testament to the power of collaboration. The NSF’s dedication, coupled with the expertise of Change Agent Inc., has created a lasting impact on countless students in Cameroon. The NSF’s commitment to youth development serves as an inspiration. Together, we can ensure that all young people have the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
