In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a dedicated group of friends turned their concern into a year-long lifeline for their community. Partnering with the NGO GIZ, this team launched a high-impact initiative focused on one of the most effective ways to combat the virus: consistent hygiene.
While safety guidelines were universal, the resources to follow them—like soap and face masks—were often out of reach for low-income households. The team aimed to bridge this gap, ensuring that financial constraints didn’t prevent anyone from staying safe.
Beyond the physical supplies, this project fostered a deep sense of teamwork and compassion. For the volunteers, the experience served as a powerful reminder that while the pandemic was a global crisis, its solution often started at the local level.
