In the heart of Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement, Kenya, a powerful movement is taking root. Our initiative to distribute and plant trees in local schools is a tangible step towards addressing the urgent threat of climate change.
In partnership with BIDII YETU, we’ve reached five schools, distributing and planting a total of 124 trees. This is just the beginning; our ambitious goal is to plant 500 trees in these communities.
The sight of our young environmental pupils, accompanied by their head teacher, receiving and planting these trees is a testament to the power of community engagement. Together, we’re creating a greener, more resilient future.
By taking action against climate change, we’re not only protecting the environment but also contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Our initiative is a small but significant step towards a more sustainable world.
